Dr. Elena Avramidou speaker in an event on Nikos Kazantzakis - under the auspices of the UNESCO Chair

The Public Central Historical Library of Corfu, in collaboration with the Catholic Archdiocese of Corfu-Zante-Kephalonia and the N. Kazantzakis Museum, is organizing an event entitled "Nikos Kazantzakis, Tertsines, “ST THERESA"—poetry", reflection, search, exercise, divine love”. The event will take place on Wednesday, March 26 at 17:00 in the “Evi Laskari” Events Hall of the Public Central Historical Library of Corfu (English Barracks—Old Fortress).

The event is held under the auspices of the International Society of Friends of Nikos Kazantzakis—Greek Branch and the support of the UNESCO Chair on Threats to Cultural Heritage of the Ionian University. Speakers of the event: George Altouvas, Catholic Archbishop of Corfu. Spyros Gaoutsis, historian-researcher. Charoula Verigou (née Zoe Diktaou), Head of the Greek Branch of the Ionian University of Sinology in Corfu. Prose writer-poet.  Elena Avramidou, Executive Director, Hellenic Center of Sinology, Ionian University, Member of the Coordinating Committee of the UNESCO Chair on Threats to Cultural Heritage of the Ionian University and of the Board of the International Committee of the International Society of Friends of Nikos Kazantzakis (ISCNK). The discussion will be moderated by philologist Olga Papadatou. The event will be accompanied musically by the Brass Quartet of the Corfu Conservatory, conducted by Socrates Anthis. The event is curated by Korina Kombolitis.
