The lecture of Dr. Elena Avramidou at the Universidad de Magallanes, in Punta Arenas, the southernmost university in Chilean Patagonia, was dedicated to Socrates and Confucius and the perspectives offered by their thought for addressing the challenges of the 21st century, especially in relation to the use of Artificial Intelligence.
The lecture was organized by the Department of Education and Humanities and the Confucius Institute of the University. The Rector, the Vice-Rector, the Director of the Confucius Institute, professors and students honored the event with their presence.
The questions that followed testify to the interest in the thought of the two ancient thinkers and the dialogue with the philosophical traditions of Greece and China.
